SharePoint, a Microsoft product designed for networks running Windows Server, is a web-based application that enables anywhere-access for individuals or groups who are working together on projects. Team members can share files, calendars, contacts and secure information through a browser anywhere they have web access. "How could YOU use SharePoint?"

"Do I need to upgrade my PC?"
To appreciate all of the benefits, it is recommended that you run Office 2003. These features are further extended in Office 2007. Nevertheless, if you are running Office 2000 you can still integrate with Microsoft SharePoint and do not have to upgrade.

Microsoft SharePoint can be configured to alert people when changes are made to key documents or items in a project. This reduces the amount of time emailing, photocopying, or requesting up-to-date versions of a contract. SharePoint also facilitates tightening regulatory policies for data retention so you can find and manage the documents required by law.
